In a dazzling celebration of excellence, Sandals and Beaches resorts took home an impressive 16 awards at the 2025 World Travel Awards Caribbean and The Americas Gala Ceremony. This prestigious event, held at the stunning Sandals Grande St. Lucian, brought together leaders from the travel and tourism industry for a night filled with recognition and inspiration.
Among the highlights of the evening, Sandals Resorts International was honored as the Caribbean’s Leading Hotel Brand for the 32nd consecutive year. This remarkable achievement underscores the brand’s unwavering commitment to providing unforgettable experiences in the heart of the Caribbean. Beaches Turks and Caicos also celebrated a significant milestone, winning the title of Caribbean’s Leading All-Inclusive Family Resort for the 18th time. This accolade comes just ahead of the much-anticipated opening of its Treasure Beach Village, a $150-million expansion set to debut in spring 2026.
Other notable wins included Sandals Dunn’s River, which was recognized as the Caribbean’s Leading Luxury All-Inclusive Resort for the third year running. This resort, which opened its doors in 2023, has quickly made a name for itself in the luxury segment. Sandals South Coast also received accolades, being named the Caribbean’s Most Romantic Resort, a title that resonates with couples seeking a dreamy getaway.

For the 19th consecutive year, Jamaica was named the Caribbean’s Leading Destination, with the Jamaica Tourist Board winning the Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Board award for the 17th time. The island was also recognized as the Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Destination 2025, with the Port of Ocho Rios and the Port of Montego Bay earning accolades as the Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Port and Leading Home Port, respectively.
Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett praised the achievements of Jamaica’s tourism sector. “I am very pleased to see the hard work and dedication of the tourism team being recognized internationally,” he stated. “This performance is a testament to the resilience and commitment of Destination Jamaica and our remarkable tourism stakeholders.” He encouraged all players in the tourism industry to build on this track record of outstanding performance.
Other Jamaican winners included Island Routes, awarded the Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tour Operator 2025, and Chukka Caribbean Adventures, recognized for its exceptional destination experiences. Chukka Ocean Outpost was named the Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction, while the Rose Hall Great House Tour claimed the title of Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Attraction.
