These items are crucial for supporting the recovery efforts and ensuring that communities can rebuild their lives.
One standout feature of the aid is the BHISHM modular trauma kit. This innovative system consists of 72 boxes of medical and surgical supplies, designed to provide immediate emergency support. A four-member team of Indian Air Force medical experts will be in Jamaica for the next four days, offering specialized training to local medical professionals on how to effectively use the BHISHM Cube system.
A History of Support
This isn’t the first time India has stepped up to assist Jamaica. Earlier this year, India provided disaster relief valued at approximately JMD 60 million, which included essential items like neonatal incubators and solar lanterns.
